Questions

What does the ChatGPT ads readiness check test?

It reads the public source of the page you enter and your robots.txt. It checks whether OpenAI can review the landing page (OAI-AdsBot and OAI-SearchBot are not blocked), whether the OpenAI measurement pixel is installed, and whether the Google tag, Consent Mode, Meta Pixel, Microsoft UET and structured data are present.

Why does a blocked OAI-AdsBot matter?

OpenAI reviews ChatGPT ads landing pages with OAI-AdsBot, and its ad policies say landing pages must not block it. A blocked crawler can stop your ads in review.

Can the check see tags loaded by Google Tag Manager or Shopify?

No. Tags that load later through Google Tag Manager, a consent tool or Shopify customer events do not appear in the page source. The check marks them as “verify” instead of “missing”. Server-side setups such as the Conversions API cannot be seen from outside either.

Do you store my website or the result?

No. The result is shown once and not saved. To prevent abuse we count checks per network for about two days without storing your IP address.
